OUR MINERAL WATER THORN SPRING NATURAL MINERAL WATER ......COMING SOON ! In 2002 the company expanded its
activities and started a project for building up a natural mineral water
bottling plant. A detailed pre-investment research of several potential mineral
water sources was carried out. Based on a complex analysis
and because of its perfect water qualities and naturally protected area
the Trunska Bankya Mineral Spring was chosen. On our initiative a
procedure for establishing a concession was started up by the Municipality of
Trun. After a special tender HYDROCOMP Ltd. was pointed concessioner and a contract was signed on the 20-th of September 2002 for a period of 15 years and was extended to 35 years in December 2004. The quantity granted was 5 l/s /158 mln l/year/ for bottling and 3 l/s /95 mln l/year/- for plant water supply. The plant The
plant is situated in the village of
Bankya, Trun Community, in Western
Bulgaria, 75 kilometers away from Sofia. The
village is linked to the republic road net through a 4 kilometer
third class asphalt road so transportation
can be organized by truck and/or containers. For far destinations there
are 3 railway stations within a distance of 50 km that can be used – Pernik,
Radomir and Dragoman.
The Spring The spring intake was
performed in 1926 by a concrete drainage gallery. The spring is subthermal (20 oC), ascending, with deep ground water circulation, and without any turbidity. Ground water overflows from fractured J3-K1 lime stones at a terrain level 640 m above the sea. The main aquiferous zone lies at a depth of more than 350 meters below the ground surface and has no hydraulic connection with the surface and shallow-seated groundwater in the area. The spring recharge area coincides with the highest mountain parts of the region (1200 -1600 m a.s.) where the limestones outcrop on the surface. It is more than 40 km away from the nearest industrial sites. The land in the recharge area is non-arable and covered with steep rock wreaths or occupied by forests and pastures in a very good ecological state.
The exploitation resources of the Trunska Bankya Spring, approved by order N 1234/14.12.2002 of the Ministry of Environment and Water- Bulgaria, are as follows: Category ЕР1 + ЕР2 (perennial yield) Qexp = 38 l/s. The
mineral water Trunska Bankya Natural Mineral Water is a pure and fresh mountain spring water, that overflows naturally from one of the finest quality mountain springs in Bulgaria. Chemical composition of the Trunska Bankya Natural Mineral Water
According
to various tests, as specified in
Certificate N 35/07.08.2000, the water is fresh with low mineralisation
(0.42 g/l), bicarbonate -calcium -magnesium type, sodium meager, low alkaline,
chemical and sanitary clean. The
content of micro components and the radiology level are far bellow than
the acceptable limits for natural mineral waters. The water does not pass over any surface that may have been tainted by contaminants, either natural or industrial. The recharge area of the spring is mountain and situated more than 50 km away from the nearest industrial site. The
water satisfies completely the local and EU regulations and requirements for
consumption and bottling of natural mineral water and non-alcoholic beverages. The Fluor content in the water is very low – 0.1 mg/l - much lower compared to the maximum allowed level of 1.5 mg/l. This together with the content of the other micro components makes Trunska Bankya Natural Mineral Water suitable for baby food preparation.

Certificates The
Trunska Bankya Spring
was registered as a mineral one in 1940. For more than 60 years the water
has been sampled many times the chemical analysis being extremely stable. The
spring water was certified as natural mineral water by the Ministry of Health
with Certificate # 35 dated the 7-th of
August 2000. The
Company has Certificate N5
for building up a natural mineral water bottling plant
dated 27-th of
December 2002 issued by the Ministry of Health. The work for the water registration by Fresenius Institute - Germany is in process and the comprehensive analyses have been completed. The procedure will be finalized by the end of 2004.
